This Y! web group is still hanging on despite the lack of activity, so I’ve decided to make some changes in hopes of making it more useful, yet still secure.
The most significant change is that membership is by approval only, but all members can post. This makes it harder to get into the group, but once you’re in you can freely communicate with others.
Be patient in regards to having your membership approved. The most efficient way to get approval is to e-mail me through the contact info at the FPOTA web. In order to keep the group as clean and secure as possible I reserve the right to ignore anything that looks suspicious, so make your request compelling.
While I no longer reside in SELA I still have family ties back there, and still would like to see at least one regular contra dance get a toehold somewhere in the state of LA or MS.
A few times a year I get requests from folks for Old-time and Contra Dance info in the LA-MS region, so I keep the FPOTA web up. I’m hoping that these folks will be able to get in touch with each other by opening up this group to better communication.
The reason for the change is outlined on our new web. Please have a look using the link below.
Hey Conrad, Glad to hear you're still trying to revive the dance community in Louisiana and Mississipi, good luck. Keep me subscribed to the group, please, and
