The Columbus Fraternal Order of Police is made up of law enforcement officers who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving their community.

They also strive to improve their profession by improving working conditions, wages and benefits and by monitoring legislation affecting law enforcement on the local, state and national levels.

The Columbus Lodge organizes and assists in several charitable causes throughout the Chattahoochee Valley Area such as Easter Seals of West Georgia, Shop With A Cop, Food Baskets for the Needy, and Country's Midnight Run, which contributes to the visually impaired.

Membership is currently restricted to Active, Associate, and Auxiliary members of FOP Lodge 9.
