Darren NO They may work a bit. But in the real world the losses are insupportable. Cavities are a very exact science. and losses of <1dB should be acheivable....
It MAY (emphasis on may) be possible to shorten the VHF cavities to make them work on UHF - but it won't be optimum. Lotsa mechanical work required here. ...
