A "long reply" just went away.. but two things... Torque and crankshaft strength (over long term). Aircraft engines need a LOT of low end torque, to accelerate

Useing the existing clutches will be difficult because of weight, how to hold the driven clutch and how to mount the prop to it. Far easier to get a belt drive
