Florida Association of School Advisory Councils

Want to discuss and learn more about school advisory councils? This is the place. A second list server has now been created to discuss general education issues.

We care greatly that all students receive a quality education in Florida's public schools. Florida Statutes mandate that each School Advisory Council adopts a school improvement plan - a local blueprint on how to best improve our local school.

The Legislature also gave SACs final decision making authority on how lottery dollars are to be spent. Now, we have an effective means of discussing common problems and sharing innovative solutions with SAC members across Florida. For more information visit: http://fl-sac.org .

Our goal is to allow parents, teachers, community members, PTA/PTOs and administrators to discuss common problems and share innovative solutions. FL-SAC is a statewide association open to all and is not part of the Florida Department of Education. Through increased sharing and dialogue, closed doors are opening and solutions are being found to help lead our children to successful lives in the 21st century.
