This group is for homeschoolers who reside in the Kansas City area, specifically those whose zip codes start with 640-641 and 647 north of 18 HWY. This area makes up Region 3. The intent of this group is to inform homeschoolers of upcoming events. Membership in FHE is required to join. It is only $15 a year. Please go to www.fhe-mo.org to join. The moderators are FHE board members.
Our simple rules:
1. Please be sure when you post it has something to do with home schooling or home education. However, this is not a forum to discuss general topics of such. Moderator(s) can limit or call to an end discussion of any topic when deemed necessary for the benefit of the listserv.
2. This is a place to ask questions and learn from the experience of other home schoolers.
It is not, however, the place to air complaints, voice personal political views, or rant.
3. No discussion of the administrative policy of any other list.
4. No advertising of any non-homeschool related material, other than books on educational topics. That includes naming products or businesses. However, URL's for products or business may be posted.
5. No flaming of other list members.
6. No discussion on the right/wrong of home-schooling, the government, decisions, or rulings.
7. No profane language.
8. No complaints about "techno litter". If the volume is too high for you, use the delete button. :-)
9. No forwarding of e-mail (to or from the list) without permission of the author. Violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the list. Furthermore, no member will post a message to the list for suspended members.
10.This is an Families for Home Education PARENT Forum. Students may not post to this list - only their parents.
