Christian Principles and the Concept of Man. According to this concept, man is above all a spiritual being, intelligent and free, endowed with an immortal soul, a person and, as such, exceeding in value all the material universe while having charge and responsibilty for his own destiny.
Made in the image of God, with values of dignity, greatness and spirit. As a person, he must cause to unfold within himself the life of the spirit in all its forms and develop himself in the love of his felow beings. His spirit and the dynamism of his liberty must ever be in play so that others may share and participate actively in a total social organization. He must be the artisan and not the slave.
