Fellowship of Christian Writers Basic Critique group is for fiction and nonfiction genres. Our focus is to encourage a mentoring environment for Christian writers to sharpen their skills, and to become effective and published Christian writers.
Part of providing an encouraging mentoring group for Christian writers is to be respectful of the feelings and faith backgrounds of those whom we ask to critique our work, which includes not asking our critique partners to read and critique work they consider offensive, whether it be offensive language, portrayals of sexuality, or excessive gore.
We are not in competition with each other. Instead, we share tips,
writing links, information, as well as publishing contacts, when possible, with each other.
Along with submitting and critiquing, we occassionally offer Writers Workshop, working through a writers-craft book or other material together. Workshops will help put into practice the writing tips you've learned.
This group is intended for serious writers who desire to their writing to rise to the next level. We strongly recommend that each member submit their work for critique, and members may submit as many writings as desired. Members are required to critique at least one submission per month, however, the more projects you critique, the more you learn as a writer, and you will be a blessing to others as well.
