Description

FCC-Australia is the website for members of Families With Children From China-Australia, a support group for Australian families who have or who are in the process of adopting children from the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. FCC-Australia (FCC-A) is an incorporated, not-for-profit, non-denominational association of families that have adopted or are in the process of adopting children of Chinese ethnicity. It is run by volunteers and operates throughout Australia. Annual membership fees apply. Those persons who are unfinancial may have access to FCC-A facilities and services restricted, suspended or removed. The association's dominant purposes are: a) through post-adoption and Chinese culture programs, to support families that have adopted children of Chinese ethnicity. b) to encourage adoption of children of Chinese ethnicity; and to support families that are waiting to adopt. c) to advocate for and support children remaining in orphanages in countries from which FCC-A members have adopted children of Chinese ethnicity. d) to provide such extraordinary assistance as a majority of FCC-A office bearers may determine is appropriate to benefit persons affected by natural disasters or events of similar impact within the countries from which FCC-A members have adopted children of Chinese ethnicity. e) to provide such extraordinary assistance as a majority of FCC-A office bearers may determine is appropriate to assist children ordinarily domiciled within the countries from which FCC-A members have adopted children of Chinese ethnicity.
