Welcome to the Friendship Association of Chinese Students and Scholars (FACSS) at University of Minnesota.

FACSS is a non-profit student organization that provides the opportunities for the students of the University of Minnesota and the general public to explore the Chinese culture through building friendship with the students and scholars from China. FACSS exists for the following purposes:
To strengthen contact and to promote friendship among its members;
To help Chinese students and scholars with their living and academic adjustments;
To promote cultural diversity of the university community through promoting the Chinese culture.

Specifically, the FACSS official message-exchange (facss_umn@yahoogroups.com) is dedicated to the daily communications among its members. Those instances or activities against or impertinent to the spirits advocated by FACSS will not be acceptable to our message exchange, such as:
Commercial advertisements[1] or spam mails
Personal chatting
Personal attack
Recruitment of any other organizations, without pre-approval from FACSS
Discussions that are out of the concerns of FACSS
Any behaviors that are harmful to the good name of FACSS
Any behaviors that are prohibited or discouraged either by law, morality or common sense.

We reserve the rights to take any legal actions to maintain and promote an enjoyable and comfortable environment for all of us, and to ensure that all the activities and events here are consistent with the goals of FACSS as well.
By participating in the organizations of FACSS, you consent to be bound by the FACSS terms and conditions that include but are not limited to the above statement.

[1] Commercial advertisement is only allowed if it is approved by FACSS for the only purpose of raising FACSS funding. For approval, send email to facss@umn.edu. Advertisements from businesses other than from facss@umn.edu are spam mails and their senders' accounts will be banned.
