I encourage folks to NOT join Grouply.
They're convenient, yes.
Their corporate mission is benign, yes, and their security is much better than it used to be.
But you're handing over your ID and password to another entity.
This flies directly in the face of your Yahoo Terms of Service (Sections 4 and 5).
And if someone is using Grouply because they just get too much mail with their myriad lists, then perhaps it's time to limit the number of lists. (That's my personal opinion.)
More importantly, do you realize that this means they have access to EVERY aspect of your Yahoo identity, including 360, blogs, calendars, wallet ... anything you can access with your Y! ID, THEY can access with your Y! ID. You are at the mercy of their security and the integrity of every single employee. If there's even one rogue employee, you're screwed.
AND -- regardless of Grouply's reassurances, there are simply WAY too many RECENT reports on the web of spam increasing exponentially after 1-subscribing to them, and 2-simply being a member of a group with a Grouply member. Those reports are not prima facie evidence of Grouply's complicity, but it sure makes me pause.
