Parents are often given advice and suggestions for parenting that is based only on what worked for one parent, or what parents, physicians or teachers wish would work for raising kids. It isn't easy to raise children, and there are no shortcuts. I believe that baby humans evolved (or God created them) to expect the same conditions that Stone Age children were born to expect. Just because we can build large houses with a nursery down the hall, feed infant formula and push our babies in strollers doesn't mean it's a good idea. I will send out mailings occasionally or often, depending on what I happen to find. I may send out book reviews or product reviews in additon- both in support of and against these products.
If you come here looking for evidence for seperate sleeping, artificial feeding, leaving a baby to cry, introducing solids early, or myraid other issues parents face, I welcome you to read and learn. I hope this will be enlightening. If you are unsure if you are taking the right path as you instinctively parent your child, I hope these readings bolster your confidence. If everyone around you is a mainstream parent and you are more of an attachment parent, maybe this will give you help in feeling that you aren't alone.
There will be no discussion in this group but discussion may happen at Evidence Based Parenting Discussion. I may or may not participate there, depending on how busy this group gets. After all, I have children to raise. :-)
