Add the words "Etsy for Autism" to the tag line of any items in your shop that you wish! This helps to find each other's shops & promote each other in treasuries!
We are parents, caregivers, & loved ones of people affected under the Autism Spectrum. Some of us sell our handmade goods and items that cater to the needs of the ASD & the Special Needs community. Others are trying to recover some of the expenses that come with having a child with Autism. But we all have one common goal: to raise awareness.
Many of us donate portions of our sales to our favorite Autism Awareness organizations. We have links and Resource/Donation lists. We all realize the expenses incurred in a family affected by Autism.
Donating is always individual & anonymous, if desired, and no one is REQUIRED to donate to charities/organizations. We also love to grab Etsy Treasuries to cameo our team members, and bring attention to Autism Awareness.
Our team is very unique, low key, and was created to provide a community and a platform from which we can share stories, experiences, advice, support & ideas with each other while we navigate this ocean of treatments & therapies, in addition to nurturing and comforting one another during those “melt-down” seasons that we are all familiar with...and maybe help some great organizations along the way!
**GUIDELINES**
Please do not post personal fundraisers or local area fundraisers here or on forum threads. This team is here to support organizations that benefit Autism for all.
Please do not branch off to start your own groups for the team. It causes too much confusion. But please feel free to post links to your personal websites/blogs/Myspace/Flickr or whatever.
