Ethiopian Christianity adopts numerous Judaic elements shunned by the Roman Catholic Church. This includes dietary restrictions and the Saturday Sabbath.

With a gnosis approach, it is questionable that the Ethiopian Orthodox Faith is the closest and purest form of Christianity.
