Description
I SADLY DONT HAVE THE TIME TO MODERATE THIS GROUP SO THIS IS GROUP IS SUSPENDED UNTIL SOMEONE WISHES TO TAKE ON THE MODERATOR RESPONSABILITIES.
"Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world." ~Mother Teresa
A group of liberal homeschooling parents that educate their children with kindness using unschooling, eclectic, child centred and Waldorf type methods. The group moderator is based in South Africa and is open to like minded people from any country.
The main focus of this group is:
1] To respect the earth
2] To respect all creatures
2] Homeschool
3] Frugal living
4] Homesteading
5] Recycling
6] A love of humanity
7] Green living
8] Alternative thoughts
9] Developing the whole spirit of our children.
10] Attachment parenting
And the incorporation of all of the above into a gentle homeschool system that embraces the individual child and their needs.
We share ideas that educate each other in order to live a noble and honest life and homeschool through example.
The group is not religious group but rather a group that believe in the right of each individual to their own beliefs as long as they respect the earth and of course each other. All discussions, even when they are contentious, are done with a love of each other.
I am struck by the fact that the more slowly trees grow at first, the sounder they are at the core, and I think that the same is true of human beings. We do not wish to see children precocious, making great strides in their early years like sprouts, producing a soft and perishable timber, but better if they expand slowly at first, as if contending with difficulties, and so are solidified and perfected. Such trees continue to expand with nearly equal rapidity to extreme old age." ~Henry David Tho
