This is the home port of Empire State Battle Group/ Task Force Wayne.


The Empire State Battle Group is located in the town of Ontario, Wayne CO, NY. WE are 20 miles east of Rochester.

ESBG is a R/C Big Gun Warship Club. Big Gun Warship Combat is a hobby where we build and battle radio controlled , 1/144 scale warships.The models must be of real ships laid down between 1900 and 1946. The ships are armed with cannons of different caliber , from bb (.177) to 1/4 inch. Thereby the big gun name.

The ships are constructed of either a wooden or fiberglass frame skinned with balsa wood. The thickness of the balsa is determined by the thickness of the armor on the original ship.

Damage control is by the use of pumps. A ship will sink when the water coming in is greater than the water going out. Think of this as battle bot's on water. A float system is used so when the ship sinks it can be retrieved , bailed out , the holes patched, new ammo etc and back out to do it again. For more information please contact us.
