This is a discussion list for discussing empathy and empathy based values, such as, caring, community, equality, justice, responsibility and other progressive values.
All posts must clearly add some insights into the topic of Values. This is not a list for really discussing issues or policies. Plenty of other places exist for those types of discussions.
Here we focus on;
- what are values,
- what are your values
- what are the underlying Values of Progressives
- exploring all aspects of Empathy
- how to talk about values
- how are values talked about in the society
- etc.

Barack talks about empathy and the importance of 'standing in other peoples shoes', in many of his speeches (I've collected 50 so far). Empathy is the most basic value he ran on and he says the country has an 'empathy deficit' that needs to be filled. We are forming a Empathy Values group to build on Obama's call to address the empathy deficit.
