I used to read Pop Mech, at least for about 30 years.... over the years they
ran these articles. I do remember them talking about the same system back in
the early 90's.
as for the how it works thing, IIRC, it was on one of those 60 minutes type
shows. The General was bragging about how their facility had more super
computers than the rest of the planet combined, but they do not spy on the
people. they had some huge acreage of computers, but they do not spy on the
people, that they blah-blah-blah, but do not spy on the people. I think he said
that they do not spy on the people so much that you just KNEW he was trying to
drum the idea into the heads of the brain dead.
