Description
Welocome to the Echo-Producer Yahoo group, please register to the group to gain access to the files section.
This group is to discuss and help EchoLink Node owners using the EchoProducer program. EchoProducer has been a group effort including Peter EI4JR, Paul VK2EX, Ian G8PWE, Steve EI2GYB and Mike VA3PS. The Program was put together by Peter EI4JR.
The Aim of the EchoProducer program is to enhance an EchoLink node to allow regular news and other related broadcast at pre-programmed times and days, and allowing a MP3, WAV of any bit rate to be transmitted through the node radio in high quality. Once this was achieved it was then expanded to control the identification of the node and allow interactive help menus either by Text to Speach or MP3 files, that can be accessed via DTMF. When configured correctly and with a repeaters owners consent, it can give reliable and customizable identification and beaconing of a repeater and keep unwanted repeater identifications from being transmitted through the IP network to remote stations. Some protection to anti social behavior has also been added which makes this a quite complete program that would make any simplex or repeater node stand out and be noticed, while remaining user friendly. 73 From Paul VK2EX
1. Thou Shall Leave 3 to 4 Seconds between all overs.
2. Thou Shall not Connect to more than one Conference Server at a time
3. Thou Shall restrict local repeater Id's from entering the IP Network
4. Thou Shall Keep all overs to a maximum of 4 Minuets
5. Thou Shall Not Force other Links or Repeaters into a Multi Conference.
6. Thou Shall Listen on a Clear Frequency before attempting a Connection to a remote station.
7. Thou Shall Listen for at least 10 Seconds before transmitting after connecting to a remote station.
8. Thou Shall always announce ones Call Sign before sending DTMF Commands to a System
9. Thou Shall inhibit DTMF tones from being transmitted though the IP Network.
10. All Commandments are final
