This site is established to encourage artist of all kinds to relocate and help create the Birmingham’s Art District here in our ethnic and orientation diverse, Historical East Lake Community. We encourage artist of all kinds, poets, painters, musicians and more to relocate to East Lake and help us revitalized this area into an amazing; vibrant community. East Lake is still very affordable to buy or rent and we need to create an urban environment of our own. Please feel free to join this site. Post your poems, prose, tell us where your band will be playing. Those moving to East Lake who are part of this Art’s movement place a dark purple upside down “e” in your window or fly a dark purple flag at your home to mark that an Artist lives here! Artist taking over East Lake! Move here when you can…but just move here. We also encourage galleries, music venues, books and coffee shops and small original restaurants in Birmingham’s East Lake area. East Lake is a multi-cultural and GLBT friendly neighborhood.
