This group hopes to explore perfume,cosmetics and soap from a historical perspective. Whether your interest lies in accurately reconstructing an early recipe, or interpreting period scents through the use of modern materials, this group allows a forum to discuss difficulties, swap recipes and suppliers and help educate about changing trends. This group recognises that all viewpoints are valid and hopes we can all learn from each other. Beginning perfumers, re-enactors, soapmakers, archaeologists and professional craftspeople are all welcome.

Advertising is allowed once a week on Fridays. All ads must be identified as such and must be relevant to the aims of the group. First time advertisers, if you are unsure if your items fit the parameters, please ask the moderator (she doesn't bite!)
