Description
ES-OS means "Experimental Sub-Orbital Society" and is a group for technically minded people who build and fly their own aerospace hardware. The founder of this group is K. Mark Caviezel, who lives in Colorado. Currently "ES-OS" are building/test flying zero pressure balloons with APRS tracking beacons and other payloads. Recent successes include a record setting 150+ lb payload and a 126,000 cubic foot balloon flown to well over 100,000 feet. A design for a pressurized, manned capsule is in work now.
