This group began as a self help (DIY) group who selected and manufactured our own model railroad kits as a co-operative. As the current market is providing suitable kits, we have put aside that goal in case it is needed in the future. We are now here as a forum for the discussion and promotion of model railroad products manufactured for the pre-1914 era of railroading. In addition we are here to assist manufacturers to understand the needs of this group of railroad enthusiasts and to assist as much as we can to help manufacturers meet our modelling needs.

This group has grown out of the EarlyRail group and close links remain between the two groups. This group is NOT a replacement for the EarlyRail Group but a specialized supplement to it specifically aimed at modellers.

We are about to start a monthly Market Day on which manufacturers may promote products suitable to our era of interest. Short new product announcements suited to our era are allowed to be posted at any time by manufacturers (large and small). More details on this soon.
