This is the Internet Explorer Browser meeting place for Europe Defense Veterans of America, a Member-governed Veterans Honor Association.

Annual site membership is conditional upon completion and submission of EDVA Membership Application (loctated in Files section), affordable Dues, and US Military DD-214 or Separation Paper copy (w/SSN blocked) to EDVA Membership Director within 6 weeks of joining or your subscription will be deleted.

Our mission: Actively work together as 1 team to attain an authorized Europe Defense Service Medal for US Military Cold War European Theater of Operations (ETO) Overseas Service 1945-91.

We proudly wear our symbolic EDVA Patch for mission visibility and to recognize all men & women who served in the Cold War ETO in whatever capacity.

Members are Honorably-discharged US Military stationed/deployed to NATO-North Atlantic-Europe-Mediterranean-Africa-Middle East areas 1945-91.

EDVA meets annually in a sober smoke-free Europe Defenders Conference at an agreed upon location.

As Europe Defenders we promote public understanding of the nature of our faithful service in tense times, our positive contribution to Deterrence, Containment and World Peace, and we recognize the costs of our victory in the Cold War ETO: our Killed, Wounded, and Missing in Action.

We believe a civilian US Cold War Recognition Certificate is inadequate recognition as a military award.

We support a Purple Heart Medal 1945-62, a NATO Allied Cold War Unit Citation 1949-91, equality with other war theater Veterans, full accurate accounting of Cold War Missing in Action.
