On 11-9-09, this yahoo group relocated to The Power of Accomplished Teaching at http://ecgen.org. (This yahoo site only available to members of the new website now - to use for research/reference.) Ecgen.org offers the same great candidate support (actually better!) we came to be known for based on our 11-year reputation supporting National Board Early Childhood Generalist candidates here on “Yahoo! Groups”.

We now have the ability to offer the same support for our NBCTs – our accomplished teachers - as they continue their own professional development journey! We are, in essence, the “What now?” after someone has certified. Here at our new home teachers can shape their own professional development – with help from our own colleagues. Nobody can supply better professional development than those of us who teach! This is our virtual teachers’ lounge – our own “Professional Learning Community”.

The message forums on our new site are separated for each entry rather than lumping all messages together.

We have 2 chat rooms ON SITE - one for candidate support and one for our teaching practices. Our Library of documents is unbelievable - completely new documents that are clear, consistent, and convincing, as the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Level 4 rubric would want them to be! Books that have been recommended year after year can now be found on our own private amazon page. We have our own "store" on a private page on Café Press with our own logo and products! We have news feeds from Education Week and Teacher Magazine. It truly is a home for accomplished teaching - that supports EC-GEN candidates as well as ALL of us as we develop and grow professionally!
