PSA

From:  Mary Jo King

            Children’s Librarian

            Elko County Library

Date:  May 21, 2009

“Be Creative @ Your Library” is the theme for this year’s pre-teen Summer Reading Program at the Elko County Library.  This is a free program designed to encourage children, from 1 year old to 12 years old, to read (and for non-readers listen to) books during the summer while at the same time have fun and earn incentive prizes.  Teens are also encouraged to register for the special Teen Reading Program.  These programs are sponsored by Barrick Gold.

To start off the summer reading program the library will host a “Registration Round-Up” for those who have already registered for the summer reading program, and for last minute registration, on June 12th from 1:00 to 3:00.  There will be ice cream and a sidewalk chalk art activity for everyone during this time.

For more information on this and other events happening at the library, stop in at 720 Court Street or call 738-3066.
