The Delwood Duplex District, lovingly referred to as Duplex Nation, is now considered the Delwood Duplex Historic District, as it was listed in 2011 in the National Register of Historic Places.

The press release says, "Representative of national housing trends during the mid-20th century, it is the only concentration of duplex tract housing in Austin, and the city’s first postwar neighborhood to be listed in the National Register."

In the interest of creating better communication within our relatively small section of Cherrywood (76 duplexes), the Duplex Nation Neighbors Group will serve as a tool for security issues and general issues specifically related to neighbors living on Maplewood, Ashwood, Kirkwood and Wrightwood.

As this group is primarily intended to help neighbors communicate about security concerns, it is advised that members select the individual e-mail option, rather than the Daily Digest.
