We recently received a message from the District Secretary of the
Texas-Oklahoma District informing us of the damages caused by
Hurricane Ike in her district. The Kiwanis Family is definitely
hurting. Please read on for more information.
Jackie Wyatt, District Secretary wrote the following:
Thank you all for your thoughts and concerns during the aftermath of
Hurricane Ike. Your willingness to help has been overwhelming. Our
Circle K chapter at Galveston, Texas A&M University has sustained
major losses. All those students have been moved to the main campus at
College Station, TX. Their personal needs are being taken care of,
but they lost all their books, supplies, etc. The Key Clubs, Builders
Clubs and K-Kids all have been hit hard. But, most of all, the
families in this area are in need - most have lost everything.
If your clubs choose to make a donation, please send it to:
Texas/Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation

Our Governor-Designate Nancy Miller and International Trustee, Randy
DeLay, who both live in Houston, will coordinate the distribution of
these funds. Again, thank you for your concern.
