Zoe
My partner and I would like to both volunteer for kids camp on Sunday... He wants to do games/music with the kids... I want to do art projects tambourines, hats....
There has been an issue that has come up with our placement shifts (Fri/Sat 11:45- 6pm both days) that it would be preferred that there are no children involved because of the high number of vehicles(understandable).... We are wanting to know if we both get involved on Sunday if we could do work trade for one or both Fri/Sat? My daughter Tamika is very skilled at hoola-hooping, she got involved in the arts fest teaching young women... Ken does open mic and plays wonderful guitar, sings, juggles very well and has worked at kids camp up @ Shawnee National..... I play drum, dance bells, tell wonderful stories and love to play & do art... work/trade is not our only option for Tamika, her godmother will be there along with many family friends but last year when I left I just
wished that she could have socialized on her level more... does that make since?
Appreciate all your time and I will look forward to hearing from you...
Blessings

Volunteers interested in Kid's Camp:
Below you will find an outline for what will be happening out at
Dreamtime this year. You will notice that there are some specific
time slots for different things. These activities are meant to be very
transient, meaning the kids' level of interest will determine what
truly happens next. I am hoping that a spontaneous group of adults
each day will gather to facilitate an afternoon of revolutionary play,
by using the supplies and vision provided, as well as bringing their
energy to the circle in whatever way they want. Some people may show
up with only their presence to offer (those people are essential),
while others will show up prepared to host a small workshop or lead a
specific game of some sort. Although I will not be present the entire
time, there are individuals who will be directing the flow of energy
so that the basic concept is carried out. Anyone who is interested in
bringing a workshop, I ask that you communicate with me in whatever
way you can beforehand, so that things run smoothly during the day.
There may be more than one workshop/activity offered to the kids at
any given time. Also, attached you will find a list of desired
supplies. If you find you have any of these things lying about (no
need to buy anything), bring them to Dreamtime to enhance the
creativity of the camp. Anything else not on the list that you may
want to bring, feel free. Thanks so much for your interest and ideas!!
