Doc Con XIII
Contribute Each Year to the Planning of the Annual Doc Con Gathering!
We Would Love To Hear Your Ideas!
The annual Doc Savage Convention gathered together for the first time on October 24, 1998. The convention also known as Doc Con is the brainchild of Rob Smalley who together with Jay Ryan, Paul Cook and Courtney Rogers have hosted the event each year in Arizona. Traditionally held the second Saturday of each November, Doc Con attracts residents from around the country, for a weekend of planned Doc Savage events as well as discussions and camaraderie.
Doc Con XIII will be held November 13, 2010 at the home of Jay Ryan in Peoria Arizona. This year will unveil a new delegatory format which will feature William Lampkin as this years Event Coordinator (you can read more on this in the 2010 Doc Savage Convention Newsletter in the "files" section).
This years theme will be two fold. In 1940 Doc Savage was introduced in Comic Book form and will celebrate his 70th anniversary. In 1935 we met Chemistry for the first time and we will commemorate the 75th anniversary of that event. While the theme may be Chemistry and Doc's comic book debut, the emphasis will be on expanding our Doc Savage knowledge base.
