As divorce rates continue to rise, there is also an increase in the number of contested cases, particularly those that involve children and money. This has resulted in considerable emotional anguish and financial loss to those involved. Sadly, much of this can be avoided!

This group was formed with the idea of providing a forum for people to CONSTRUCTIVELY share strategies for coping with challenging divorce cases. This group operates under the following philosophical assumptions:

1. children are entitled to a relationship with both parents

2. divorcing involves equity

This group is NOT about gender issues. Any posts directed at maligning or berating people on whatever grounds will be deleted. List members are expected to express their views respectfully. This group is also NOT about unjustifiably developing strategies to exclude a parent from having a relationship with their child.

Only people who are interested in participating in an "on topic" and serious discussion of strategies to resolve challenging divorces cases should sign up. Parents, professionals or anyone who wants to share their experiences and ideas about the divorcing process are welcome. If you are interested in chit chat, jokes and meaningless ranting, this group is probably not for you!
