The joy of meditation

Hello again Nori, I believe you are onto something, when observe an internal
meter which reads 'good feelings,' then you manage those good feeling by
pursuing wholesome activities and wholesome enjoyments, such as: watching Nova,
science channel and travel channel; and play a sports, tennis, ride bike, go
hiking, explore or travel, etc.; study and read, crafts, and various things,
play games, or have conversation with friends. I did these things before I
became a mystic, and I still enjoy many of these things, like hiking in nature.

When it comes to the practice of meditation, the object is to as relaxed as
possible, while remaining conscious. While the Buddha recommended meditating
sitting cross-legged, he happened to prefer meditating lying down. He actually
recommended meditating sitting cross-legged, standing, walking and lying down.
So, just pick a position that is comfortable to you, which does not cause you to
fall asleep and meditate in it regularly.

The trick in overcoming your aversion to meditation is to learn to enjoy it.
Once you enjoy meditation you will be motivated to meditate more.

Best regards, Jhananda
