34th Anniversary Events
Friday, June 26 is the 34th anniversary of the tragedy at Oglala.
The following events are scheduled to mark the day.
UNITED STATES
Boston, MA. Through Barbed Wire - 4th Friday Event: Writings by men
and women confined in Massachusetts prisons. Come sign the petition
to Governor Patrick regarding honoring the experience and wisdom
of the Massachusetts parole board in their unanimous recommendation
for commutation by freeing Massachusetts prisoner Arnold King. AND
listen to the inspired poetry of Leonard Peltier and write parole
letters on his behalf. Sponsored by Jericho-Boston. Time: 7:00 p.m.
Where: Community Church of Boston at 565 Boylston Street, Boston,
MA 02116 (Copley Square T Stop).
Oglala, SD. 10th Annual Oglala Commemoration; see

Portland, OR. Peltier supporters will gather in Pioneer Courthouse
Square at noon. Bring a sign and help collect signatures on
parole letters for Leonard Peltier. (Those interested in helping
to organize support for Leonard throughout the NW region should
arrive at 10:00 a.m. for a strategy meeting.)
UNITED KINGDOM
London, UK. 30th Annual Picnic and Vigil for Leonard
Peltier. Supporters will gather at the "Fountain of Life" in
Hyde Park from 12 noon until 2 pm, to give folks a chance to
get there. From there the supporters will make their way to the
U.S. Embassy in Grosvener Square. The nearest tube station is Marble
Arch on the central line.

It's easy. Get out on the streets and show your support for
Leonard Peltier. Take a sign and shout freedom to the world.
Take spare parole letters and get as many signatures as possible.
One lunch hour, folks -- not so very much to sacrifice. Have Lunch
with Leonard. Take photos, too, and share them with Leonard.
