Is it a fact that it can't accept 4 digit addresses? But I guess if you are consisting it with a layout loco it would be alright to use an address of 03 or 127...

Jerry, the DH123 works like a DH163D. CV61 turns the BEMF on, which is not available on DH123's. So, CV61 does nothing. You need to set CV34 to 001 (func0)...
