Description

Isis is God. Isis is Goddess. Isis is Our Queen and Our Lady.
She is the Creator of Heaven and Earth "having
brought them into existence though what her heart conceived
and her hands created." She is giver of life and resides in all
of matter as Mistress of the elements." (I am in the rays of
the Sun.) She is Mistress of rivers, winds, and sea. She is
the Savior who saves those who call upon her name.
She is the goddess of justice who saves the oppressed.

"Devotion to Isis" is a place in which the ancient traditions of
Isis and the more modern understandings and practices of her
religion can be discussed. Isis is the goddess behind all other
goddesses. Isis is "all other goddesses." Thus her relationship
to goddesses such as Hathor and Neith of ancient Egypt or
Athena and Demeter of Hellenic Greece or to Cybele of
Anatolia can be discussed. The Hindu goddesses Durga
and Laksmi or the Virgin Mary the goddess figure of
Christianity all have relevance to Isis as the Great Goddess.

Pertinent to the discussion would be a
conversation on the relationship of the religion of ancient
Egypt to the religions of ancient Judaism and Christianity.
Finally I would hope that this group could be one in which
persons would feel free to express their personal devotion
to Isis through the sharing of poetry, picture and more personal
thought and feelings about Isis.

Therefore the scope for discussion here is quite wide. What is
not permitted is a continued demonizing of other faiths. Neither
will demonstrations of rudeness and disrespect for others be
tolerated.

Re: Jesus was an Egyptian
Of course we CAN *know* what happened BackThen! But hardly from the Bible or the speculations of scholars! You can know what happened in *my* life -- at ages
