DepartingUPC is a support-group for United Pentecostal Church members and/or former members who have concerns over certain salvation teachings of that organization. It is also for those associated with other Oneness groups of like nature to the UPC. It is our design and purpose to be gracious in helping people understand the heart message of the cross. Among other things we believe it is amiss of the gospel to teach that a person must speak in tongues to be saved, or that speaking in tongues is a definitive sign of a second experience called 'baptism in the Holy Spirit'. The forum offers friendship, unbiased love and understanding, interaction among members, prayer, special counsel, and periodic Bible studies. DepartingUPC is not a debate forum. The Christian walk must always be governed by love in all areas of communication. If we see there is a problem with bad manners or bad communication, a member will be dismissed, and possibly banned from the forum.
