August 29^th Ballroom Dance Bash

The Denver Turnverein, an elegant turn-of-the-century historic site, has been home to Denver's social dance clubs since its founding in 1918.

7 PM to 8 PM Lesson in American Foxtrot by Brook Metcalfe

8 PM – 11:00 PM - General Dancing

DJs Lucia Rose and Carolyn Cattani will play the dance music, a mix of All Ballroom Dances (There are over 3,000 ballroom selections in the music library), as well as Salsa, Argentine Tango, Lindy/Swing, Hustle, and West Coast Swing and requests.

Suggested dress for this dance is dress to impress, comfortable dance attire.  The ladies are always elegant so gentlemen keep this in mind when selecting your attire.  Please bring and wear dance shoes to help preserve the newly refinished floor.  The Dance Cost is $10 per person for Turnverein members, $15 for Turnverein non-members, cash or checks, only. 

  Renew or Join The Turnverein for 2009 and admission is FREE.   2009 Pro-rated Membership Rates: $29 single; $54 dual; $66 family; $20 student/senior (Cash or Check, ONLY).  Your membership fee helps support and maintains this beautiful dance venue!

Dance Admission price includes dance lesson, dancing, outstanding refreshments, and cash bar.

The 2008 Dance Bash season dates are: 2009 season dates are Labor Day September 7^th, September 12^th (Dance Bash/Comedy Night), September 19^th (USA Dance Competition afternoon, Dance Bash evening), October 10^th (Art Show in the Afternoon) (USA Dance/Turnverein Dance in the Evening) and October 31^st, November 14^th (Dance Bash/Comedy Night), November 28^th (potluck), December 19^th (Christmas Dance Bash), NYE 2009/2010.  For more information about these and other exciting dance events please go to the Turnverein web site:
