I didn't know as guess told him to look it up as y'all provided more information than I did.
I still think the 7/8 Expungment might work. given time table for DA then they are Expunged to just the Arrest as i ge thsi from the WEB site materials.
I believe the law states something like this as would make thei DA not so bad if people can't look up your offece but just the arrest. give 5 year time limit then i think this would work

Derrick any charge of an assault, abuse, sex offense cannot be sealed. Senator West formed the Exclusion List back in either 03 or 05. Here is the link from the yahoo group that will take you directly to issues concerning the exclusion list.

You might be able to get a non - disclosure which could cost you between $700 and $1000 as this what a lawyer can do for you. You can also do your own non- Disclosure yourself.
You can go to the couty as look up one from public records a sthen copy then fill in blanks with your information.
Now the Family Assault DA you got as you will have to look at our WEb site plus look up Texas Non Disclosure.
This doesn't expunged but non discloses it from about 90 % of people that can look up your records.
You can only Expunge I believe Juvenile Charges case plus any adult Arrests.
I've Proposed the 7/8 Expungement as with all out DA as they comeup with RAPe sheet but if the bill is worded correctly as made into law for us then only the Charge or arrest would be on rap sheet not the case.
Good Luck

Hi guys, in 2005 I had a Class A Misdemeanor for Assault on Family Member in Harris County Texas. This is my first ever case with the Law. I was given 11 months Deferred Adjudication which I completed in 2006. Is it possible to seal or expunge this record because it is greatly preventing me from getting any meaningful employment. Please any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I have talked to two attorneys with two confusing answers. One told me it can be sealed and the other told me because it is an Assault on Family Member it cannot be sealed or expunged. Please any advice will help me. Thanks.
Patrick,
It can't be exponged. You can get an order of non-disclosure which will keep it
off of ONE of TWO databases that the DPS maintains. The first website is
viewable by all law enforcement, licensing agencies, schools, daycares,
hospitals and many others that I'm sure I'm not including. The second DPS
website is viewable by the public. You can send your order of non-disclosure to
the DPS with specific instructions to have your DA removed from that site and
ANY OTHERS that they may have sold your information to. One public site that
frequently downloads from the DPS public database is called publicdata.com.
This site is one of the most widely used sites by public employers. Once you've
sent your order of non-disclosure in to the DPS, you might be ahead to pay the
$25 to publicdata.com and make sure your name doesn't come up in THEIR database.
If it does, send them a certified letter along with the "order of
non-disclosure" enclosed and threaten legal
action if they don't remove it "immediately." This usually works.
However, this doesn't address the BIG ISSUE. Unless our group is able to lobby
and get statute of limitations or expongement laws into effect, we'll never
solve the BIG issue here. I would encourage you to become politically active
with this group and fight for your rights or we will always be treated as
"second class" citizens when we try to exercise our rights to equal employment,
access to rental properties and occupational licensing within the state of
Texas.
