Description

This group is dedicated to a now disbanded N-Scale model railroading "club" formed by Adam Arnold and Randall Smith in 2000. This group is a tribute to our friendship and the great modeling and photos that evolved out of it. We didn't want to join any existing N-scale clubs when we displayed our trains at the 2001 nmra show in Dayton, so we formed our own. We built and operated a modular show layout. The modules were designed and built by us to our specifications...we called them N-PRO (N-scale-Prototypical) We also custom painted and weathered much of our locomotives and rolling stock. Adam models the 1985 Chessie System and Seaboard System(before csxt) also some Conrail. Randall models primarily the 1976 "early Conrail" featuring Penn Central,Reading,Erie Lackawanna etc. Our modular layout has Atlas Code 55 flex and #6 switches...and is powered by a MRC Controlmaster 20 walk-around throttle. "The GIANT HAND" is our brakeman and Scruffy the dog is our mascot. See our locomotives and rolling stock in the PHOTOS section and Remember, It's N SCALE! Thanks for visiting. Don't forget to check out the LINKS to other interesting areas like our friends at BLMA, Bluford shops, N scale Railroading magazine and DCCTRAIN.COM. We made our own custom Greenville 86 foot high cube box cars, 4 doors with BLMA stirrups and accurate paint schemes. We also made the first N-scale Hopper Toppers, they are sweet. Remember, "We started the 86 ft. boxcar revolution in N-scale!" The DNN has been disbanded but the modeling continues, in H.O. scale. Adam left N-scale in 2009 to begin his Chessie'85 project and Randall has begun selling off his N-scale collection and switching over to H.O.
Come over to http://groups.yahoo.com/Chessie85 to see Adam's new project.
We also have a railfan and Photo group at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/SWOhioRailroading/
