This is an Original free-form PBEM RPG lbased on the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books by Laurell K. Hamilton. Only original Characters permitted. Reference the FAQ in the Files or the link below.

Premise: Four months ago, a freak phenomenon blanketed the metropolis of New Hope Falls in Darkness. The media has dubbed the town "Darkness Falls", and no one knows what is causing the permanent night over the expansive city. The Master of the city swears that vampires did not cause the event, yet the human activists of the city insist that they did and must be stopped.

As a part of the soft reset, the remainder of the game story will be partitiioned and organized into Seasons and Episodes (like in a TV series) to allow for more focus and to have an less constraining means of showing the progression of time. The current Season and Episode is listed below:

Season #1: In the city of Darkness Falls, something has awakened after a millenimum of slumber and imprisonment. Could the eternal night afflicting the city have been be a sign of the awakening of an ancient and nameless evil, long forgotten? Regardless, whispers of an ancient and hungry evil who desires to return to the world have been heard, and with it an age of despair and darkness. Forces that oppose and serve this great evil have begun to move, looking to recruit new members to their cause. Will darkness and evil prevail or will a new group of heroes emerge to save the city and the world?

Episode 0: The Pilot

Donovan the Master of the City has disappeared. The mysterious circumstances surrounding her disappearance has aggravated the already tense situation and chaos already within Darkness Falls, leaving it on the verge of a silent war between the preters and the humans and set the conditions for a civil war within the preter community as Donovan's followers try to maintain control while the other clans have begun their bids for Donovan's succession and control of the city
