Santa Cruz Dance Church — where the DJ is the minister, the music is the sermon, and the dancers are the congregation — celebrated its ten year anniversary in the fall of 2011.

Since 2001, a spiritual dance jam has occurred every Sunday morning from 9 to 11:30 AM at the 418 Project, 418 Front Street in Santa Cruz, California. In late 2011 a Saturday Dance Church was added at the same location during the same hours. In early 2012 a monthly Friday Night Dance Church at varying locations was initiated on every third Friday.
