The pace of even the original Danas always seemed to be "faster" than Nancy. Although in the first book, first chapter, Nancy gets caught in the river road

Great notes, Faye. I have just re-read the first couple of chapters. My mother had study lamps for me and my sister. They were brass with green glass shades.
