Description

darling Pebbles graces the DMdogs homepage

A forum for owners and others interested in Degenerative Myelopathy in Dogs. This is a new and growing forum, established in 2009, for the discussion of the science of degenerative myelopathy and for practical and emotional support of those who want to improve the quality of life of their DM dogs. Whether your dog is At Risk for DM, has symptoms or has been diagnosed with DM, or you are looking for a diagnosis, you are welcome to join. If you had a dog with DM and can share what you have learned, you are welcome as well. If you are a researcher in the field of DM or a breeder working to decrease the incidence of DM in your breed, you are also welcome. Our goal is to understand this disease and its treatment and to help each other keep our DM dogs happy and involved in life. As a forum for discussion of the science and treatment of degenerative myelopathy, we welcome dissenting opinions. We do ask that you argue your point with facts and that you do not attack those who disagree with you. Also, please keep in mind that advice about treatment given on this forum is not intended as a substitute for your own veterinarian's instructions. You should discuss any changes in treatment with your own vet.
