Our mission is simple "The Dog Legislation Council of Canada stands to serve and protect the rights of all responsible dog owners against all forms of breed specific legislation in Canada."

The DLCC believes that breed specific legislation has no pratical application in lowering bite incidences given that the issue is one of irresponsible dog ownership.

The DLCC believes that the only ethical solution is the implementation of non breed specific dangerous dog by laws.This form of legislation provides muncipalites the ability to designate dogs as 'dangerous" based on behaviour therefore provides greater flexibility in effectively dealing with all breeds of dogs and their owners.

The DLCC believes that until there is substantial evidentiary based research that a breed poses a greater risk of harm to the general public,the only solution lies in addressing the issue as an ownership and not breed issue.

The DLCC offers support,information and assitance to responsible dog owners and municipalities by ways of educational material,on line consultations with breeders,trainers and rescue workers .

THE DLCC WELCOMES YOU TO PARTICIPATE.We encourage anyone willing to work on fighting BSL to officialy join the DLCC and submit for your membership.
