This list serve is to communicate meeting notifications and relevant information for the DLANC Education Committee.

The committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month, at the Little Tokyo Branch of the LA Public Library, 203 S. Los Angeles Street at 2nd Street.

The mission of the Ad Hoc Education Committee is to motivate and guide DLANC in tackling education issues, with the goal of improving education in Downtown Los Angeles for people of all ages. We carry out this mission in several ways: by bringing together Downtown LA stakeholders concerned about education; researching the relevant issues and keeping abreast of the latest developments; disseminating our findings to DLANC and to the wider downtown community; partnering with local organizations and individuals working on education downtown and citywide; and proposing special education initiatives and projects. We welcome the participation of all Downtown LA stakeholders who care about education and wish to shape education policy and practice in our neighborhood and beyond.
