Welcome! Dramatists Guild Women’s Initiative Yahoo Group makes available a place for discussion and announcements which forwards the goals of the Women’s Initiative and offers opportunities of communication among participants related to professional activities and opportunities. All members of the DG Women’s Initiative Yahoo Group must be members of the Dramatists Guild of America in order to participate.

The Women's Initiative of The Dramatists Guild of America identifies and addresses the challenges facing American women dramatists, and develops action steps to advance and sustain fairness, equality and gender parity for all dramatists.

We have a few simple guidelines governing the use of this Group that will help make it a pleasant experience and an informative communication tool for all.

Courtesy required. No spamming, no shouting (writing in ALL CAPS), no nastiness, name-calling or attacks.

Use a header that identifies the subject. If the subject of a post changes in reply, change the subject.

Keep discussions on-topic.

No personal one-to-one conversations are allowed. Messages like “congratulations” or “thank you,” should be eliminated to cut down on traffic. Please feel free to write to the individual personally to convey your well-wishes.

The Group shall be used only for professional opportunities and inquiries related to the theater, women and gender parity.

Upcoming events may be listed no more than two times. Please keep announcements brief and to the point, with all pertinent information clear, concise and current. Please do not send information re: other events involving non-members. Dramatists Guild Women’s Initiative Group is not a sales or solicitations site.

This Group is moderated and we reserve the right to remove those who are not in compliance with these guidelines.
