MEMBERSHIP: DES-exposed persons living in Northwest (WA, OR, ID, AK and BC primarily). Family members, friends, and anyone interested in DES awareness in the NW are very welcome too! PURPOSE: To share information, plan activities, meetings, media events, legislative visits, etc. to promote DES Awareness and support DES-exposed persons.

DES is diethylstilbestrol, a drug prescribed to millions of pregnant women 1938-1971+. It was supposed to prevent miscarriage, but did not work and the women exposed and the children exposed in-utero are at higher risk for various health problems including cancer and infertility.
