SERVAS is an international traveling and hosting group. It was founded to
promote international peace and fellowship among people of the world.
www.servas.org. The Greater Washington chapter has been holding a series of
events focusing on international topics - spiritual, ethnic, culinary, travel.
These have brought together a diverse group of attendees in a variety of setting
- individual homes, embassies and ethnic, family run restaurants. On Thursday
evening, November 5, the next event is planned, sponsored by the Embassy of
Slovenia. You are invited to attend. It will be held at the Embassy, 2410
California Street, NW, Washington, DC at 6 PM. The evening will feature a
presentation by Jacqueline Widmar Stewart who has written a book, "Finding
Slovenia - A Guide to Old Europe's New Country." There will also be a brief
presentation by the Slovenia Tourist Board. Lonely Planet says Slovenia is
"persistently peaceful...blessed with rich resources and natural good looks" It
is one of those "not yet found travel countries" that are spectacular in every
aspect. Come and join fellow international, peace oriented friends. Enjoy a
