Welcome to Fairfax IV, a chapter of DC Metro Mommies

We are a network of mothers in the Herndon, Reston, Great Falls and Oak Hill communities.

We exist to create a safe and secure environment for mothers to find friendship and support from other moms.

We value and respect the different choices mothers have regarding lifestyle, parenting and employment. Most importantly, we are a group of mothers who support each other. We acknowledge our differences, and there are times when we disagree. We absolutely do not tolerate disrespectful or abusive behavior toward members.

Members of this group enjoy:

• A lively online discussion forum

• Regularly scheduled playgroups

• Opportunity to join a babysitting co-op

• Moms’ nights out

• Book club

• Cooking club

• Scrap booking club

• Occasional field trips

• Photo contests

• Meals for new mothers

• Occasional family events

We expect members of this group to:

• post in the online forum at least 3 times every quarter • attend at least 1 event per quarter Quarters are: February~April, May~July, August~ October, and November~January). They are set up un-traditionally, because many members are away during holidays, and often do not check email.

Group moderators reserve the right to remove members who choose not to or are unable to meet these expectations.
