Description
The Disciples Amateur Radio Fellowship
The United Church Amateur Network
. . . .Serving God Through Amateur Radio
Affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) and the United Church of Christ.
Our purpose:
1. To promote fellowship and community through on the air Ham activities, such as regular networks and "on the air" scheduled operations.
2. To support Global Ministries by providing communications Infrastructure. Global Ministries is the joint over-seas mission of the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
OUR CURRENT PROJECT:
25 complete HF Radio stations for the Church of Christ in Congo. Currently it takes days or weeks to get a message delivered by canoe in the remote areas where our partner churches are located. Only 4 of the 17 stations installed in the 1980's are still in Operation. The others have just worn out.
We welcome all to join with us in community and service.
